For a child who has experienced exploitation, getting out of danger is only the beginning. Julius Morar's ministry in northern India helps provide care, education, and the ordinary joys of childhood.

Julius spoke with Terry and Reneé about his work in Gorakhpur and the surrounding region. Alongside churches and other ministry efforts, his team cares for children through homes and educational settings.

Care after a rescue

In the interview, Julius described working with police after trafficking rescues. When authorities asked for help, the ministry helped place girls in appropriate care and boarding schools, within the resources available.

That work called for more than an immediate response. Children needed places where they could be cared for and continue learning. The ministry's role was to help make that next step possible.

Small gifts with personal meaning

Julius thanked Terry and Reneé for JMICF's support, especially for special meals and gifts for children. He described the significance of a toy a child could call her own. Reneé also recalled helping with backpacks and other needs.

Those details matter because care is experienced personally. A meal is eaten. A backpack is carried. A toy becomes part of a child's day.

For Julius, these were practical ways to express the love of Christ. He spoke about children seeing love through what people did, as well as hearing about it.
