Rescue is a beginning. A child who has escaped exploitation still needs a safe place to live, an education, and room to experience the ordinary joys of childhood.

In Gorakhpur and the surrounding region of northern India, our partner Julius Morrar and his team help meet those needs through children's homes and educational settings. Julius and his wife, Ruth, are part of a family with deep roots in ministry in India.

Care beyond rescue

When police sought help after trafficking rescues, Julius's ministry helped place girls in appropriate care and boarding schools, within the resources available. The work extended beyond getting children out of immediate danger: they needed people who would continue caring for them.

A place to stay and the opportunity to keep learning help make that next step possible. Through our partnership, we support the people doing this patient, everyday work.

A gift a child can call her own

Through the generosity of JMICF and TMM partners, we helped provide special Christmas meals, toys, backpacks, and support for orphanage work.

A toy a child can call her own may seem like a small gift. So may a backpack or a special meal. But these are personal expressions of care-something to enjoy, something to carry to school, a moment to celebrate.

We want children to experience the love of Christ through what we do as well as what we say. Meeting practical needs and making room for joy are both part of that calling.
