Helping a parent stay well can help keep a family together. That conviction became part of a medical ministry serving coastal Kenya.

In Kilifi County near Mombasa, the work associated with Missio Dei Ministries and Oasis Medical Centre grew from a response to the HIV crisis. Home visits, food, and medicine brought care to parents and families facing serious illness.

From home visits to a hospital

The desire was deeply practical: help parents stay alive and care for their children. A clinic grew into a hospital with medical professionals, maternity care, and surgical outreach.

Our partners Kirsi Nyrhinen and Pia Lind are part of this work. The hospital welcomes people without prejudice, extending care to the surrounding community.

Supporting the people who provide care

Through the generosity of JMICF and TMM partners, we have invested in this ministry, including support for solar power.

Behind the buildings and equipment are people serving families. Supporting that work helps our partners continue meeting needs close to where those families live.

Our concern for children reaches into the lives of the people who care for them. Helping strengthen a family's access to medical care is one practical way we can express that concern.
