A distant mission becomes personal when you meet the people living it. For Pastor Rob Stribling, Annie Osborn, and Sterling Osborn of Jacksonville, North Carolina, a missions gathering opened that door.

Meals and conversations brought them alongside missionary families. People they passed in the hotel had devoted their lives to work in places far from home. Getting to know them gave that work a name, a face, and a family.

A place for each of us

For Annie, those relationships strengthened a calling to be a sender: someone whose generosity helps others go and serve. Meeting the families behind the work deepened her desire to give.

For Sterling, time together created room to ask questions and understand more of the work. Opportunities to participate became clearer as relationships grew.

Some people serve far from home. Others help provide the resources that make that service possible. Both have a meaningful part to play.
