For a family displaced by war, a stove can mean warmth and a place to cook. Through our partners, we helped put that practical care within reach.

Rufus Whynot and Family Aid Foundation serve from a base in Romania, with relief work extending into Ukraine. Working through churches, they help displaced families and widows with children.

Warmth where it was needed

Through the generosity of JMICF and TMM partners, we helped fund locally made metal stoves, firewood, supplies, and vehicle support for this work.

Buying the stoves locally helped funds go further and avoided the challenge of moving those items across borders. Local relationships helped connect practical resources with the families who needed them.

A stove serves a simple purpose, but its value reaches into the daily life of a household: a source of heat and a place to prepare food.

Care that reaches children

Rufus's ministry also includes children's camps and Christmas gifts in Romania. Whether the need is relief for a displaced family or care for a child, faithful local partners help us respond in personal ways.

We cannot remove every hardship a family faces. We can help provide something useful and stand with the people who continue serving them.
