JULY 2025 - RISE UP!

Joel 3:9, “Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.”

This scripture is very significant to Renee and I. We use it and pray it very often: “Lord, wake up the kings and the mighty men.” We use it when we need help, when we need supplies, when we need prayer, and when we need money! We are a TEAM—one for all and all for one. We all are on a divine mission for the King and His Kingdom, shining the glorious light of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations. Shining the light where the light is dim—naming the name of Jesus where it has not been named! It is high time to wake up the mighty men and women of God, to rouse the warriors.

Many years ago, I had a partner who became very upset with me and quit supporting us because I quoted in my letter something Fred Price’s two daughters said to me:

“Terry, missionaries should not have to use their faith on their daily bread, or food on their table, or to take care of their family. The churches should take care of their living expenses. The missionary should only have to use his faith to win the souls and have the miracles and the ministry.”

The point was that we are a team and should be working together. Some are goers and others are senders, but we are both working toward the same goal.

That great missionary pastor from times past, Oswald J. Smith, famously said:

“If I give nothing to missions this year, I favor a recall of every missionary from the fields. If I give less to missions than I have given before, I favor a reduction in missionary endeavors. If I give to missions the same amount as in years past… my song is ‘Hold the Fort’—no forward progress—knowing full well that the Lord never called His people to hold up in a fort. But, if I give more this year to missionary evangelism, then I favor a charge into the world, leading to a greater conquest of new lands and the harvest of souls!”

His command is to “GO!”

As I stated above, we are a team, working together—either a Goer or a Sender. One is not more important than the other. They are both critical. If a Goer is ready and prepared to GO but there is no Sender, he cannot go. But if a Sender is prepared to Send and has funds ready, but there is no Goer, he cannot send. One cannot function without the other. We need both the Goer and the Sender to fulfill The Great Commission.

Here is a fun report. Many of you know that Renee was raised in a great and famous Pentecostal church in Shreveport, Louisiana. Life Tabernacle—now 85 years old—was a major beacon for the Pentecostal gospel and the moving of the Holy Spirit. So many great anointed ministers came and ministered there, and the archives room has so very many photos of them and the last 85 years. Jerry and Carolyn Savelle also came out of this wonderful house of God. Jack Moore was the pastor and was a close friend of Gordon Lindsay, William Branham, Demos Shakarian and so many other worthies. Brother Lindsay started Christ for the Nations there, and he started the Voice of Healing ministry and magazine there, but later moved them to Dallas. This is the church where Kenneth Copeland got his start, and you hear him mention it from time to time in his meetings.

I said all of that to tell you that this past Sunday, Renee and I ministered for them. It was a thrill and very touching for Renee to be there and to see friends she had gone to church with so long ago.

As you know, our conference in Israel for 70 precious pastors has been scheduled for this month of July. It has been postponed three times already because of the war with Iran. Well, this week, the government of Israel has once again postponed this historic and nation-changing conference. The air space has been closed down, with no flights in or out. No public gatherings are allowed, and they are using our conference hotel to house families that have been displaced as their homes have been damaged or destroyed by the vicious bombing. So, we wait again… but we do have the money for the budget, and the pastors are excited and waiting—as am I.

Of course, the world is calling, and we are going. We look forward to ministering in Israel soon (hopefully), and in Malta, Romania, Mexico, and in the month of November we will be ministering in five nations in the South Pacific. We are still helping to remodel the home for the director at the Bible school in Fiji. Please help if you are so led and can.

Please continue to hold us and these important meetings in prayer. Remember our YouTube program each Thursday evening called More Than Conquerors.

Pray with us that pastors around the United States and other nations are able to wake up the mighty men and women, to wake up the kings of the Kingdom, to wake up the Church. We must be about the Master’s business.

It is absolutely our pleasure and honor to be Goers for our great God and to be teamed up with our partners, the great Senders. We make each other functional to fulfill God’s dream and vision of getting the gospel to the whole world!

Your missionary to God’s world,

Terry L. Mize
