July Newsletter 2026
President Abraham Lincoln famously declared as he called the nation to, “recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.”
I’m writing this to you this last week of June, and next week is the Fourth of July, American Independence Day, America’s 250th birthday. This mighty nation, which has been a beacon and a lighthouse of freedom to the nations of the world all these years—two and a half centuries—has been under attack by Hell and her cohorts in Hollywood, Washington, D.C., and elsewhere to try to make the USA a communist, socialist, and third-world country, with no exceptionalism or any difference from the other nations around the globe.
The problem with that is that she is special, she is exceptional, she is different, and she is better because America is the only nation on the planet that was created for freedom of religion, for the free worship of God, and was dedicated by the Founding Fathers to God, given to Him. America belongs to God! He has not forgotten that.
This morning I again reread some 115 quotes from Founding Fathers and early statesmen about God, the Bible, and their own belief in Jesus Christ as their Savior. This is not an exhaustive list; there are many more. The 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were mostly Christians, 27 were seminary graduates, and several were ministers. They were faithful to give glory to God and to incorporate His Holy Word in their famous writings of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. No such documents and no such nation have had beginnings or holy reasons for existence as these.
They knew the risk—that signing the Declaration would paint a bullseye on them, their families, their homes, and their businesses. They were patriots, but they were also subjects of the British Crown. Signing would make them criminals, traitors. Penalty for being a traitor…death by hanging!
These 56 signers—and there would have been more, but some were absent on that day—proved by their every deed that they made no idle boast when they composed the most magnificent line in history (aside from the Bible): “…and for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”
That last line of the Declaration is a statement of their personal commitment!
Just as the mostly unknown last verse of our great National Anthem states:
“O thus be it ever when free men shall stand.
Between their lov’d homes and the war’s desolation!
Blest with vict’ry and peace may the heav’n-rescued land,
Praise the Power that hath made and preserv’d us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto— ‘In God is our trust,’
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
Read that last verse again…slowly. It is so very powerful.
I trust you have received my letter last month, including the brochure and the financial report for 2025, of Jackie Mize International Children’s Foundation (JMICF), which is our humanitarian foundation. It is different from our ministry, Terry Mize Ministries (TMM).
I thought the brochure and report were done well by our crew. They highlighted the six continents, the 39 nations, the money, the outreaches, the orphans, the widows, the water wells, the vehicles, the generators, a maternity hospital built, the solar panels, the homes built and repaired, the emergencies and humanitarian aid, the help to stop and rescue victims of human trafficking, the food, the rescues, and the compassionate help of many kinds. Real help for real people.
We were very pleased and appreciate our friends and partners who helped make it all possible. We are also so pleased that 100% of monies given were used for what you sent it to. Not one cent of monies given went to us, any staff person, expenses, administration, etc.…101 individual projects completed, $308,420.00 total, and $104,500.00 for Christmas Orphan Project.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We are now in the middle of 2026, and we have continued to demonstrate the Love of God to people in need around the world. Just in the last few weeks we sent finances to Pakistan to feed widows, orphans, and the poor in conjunction with evangelistic crusades. Special offerings also went to an orphanage in India with children who have special needs. They had an infestation of cobras.
Of course, our ministry, Terry Mize Ministries, gave much separately and ministered extensively as well and is continuing to do so. This year we still have coming up: Mexico, five nations in the South Pacific, and we are still fighting to go to Israel to train the seventy pastors who are waiting.
We love you. Remember our YouTube program, new every Thursday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA,
Terry L. Mize
