December Newsletter
Renee and I just returned home for two nights after being on the road, ministering for the last month. A dear friend and long-time partner, Pastor Dave Cokonaugher, in Haslett, MI, left us for the Heaven he had long preached about and led people to. I was honored to officiate at his homegoing service.
Early voting had not started yet in Texas, and we were scheduled to be traveling and ministering all the way through November. So, we traveled to Michigan, then back to Texas to vote, and immediately left to attend the great missions conference in Eaton, Ohio. It was wonderful, and I mentioned it in my last letter. From there, we traveled to North Carolina and ministered in three churches pastored by wonderful friends, then back to Oklahoma and Kansas to minister last Sunday, and finally returned home for 48 hours.
I sincerely hope you exercised your God-given right to vote. Never think that your vote doesn’t matter or that, as a Christian, you shouldn’t vote. Elections have consequences, yet 37 million evangelicals did not register to vote!
This morning’s news reported that illegal aliens are allowed to fly for free anywhere in the United States without even having to show ID. How insane is that? They even have special, shorter lines to get through security, unlike American citizens, who must wait behind hundreds of passengers, show ID, and—oh yes—pay for their flights. Of course, taxpayers must pay for the illegal aliens’ flights as well. Yes, voting is vital, and it is the responsibility of the Church. It is the Christian’s first step in exercising spiritual authority in the natural realm!
As I shared with you in last month’s letter, we have postponed our Israeli Pastors’ Conference until the Spring. The hotel there has agreed to transfer our funds to their sister property on the Dead Sea, which was our original preference.
As you know, Renee and I have a YouTube channel and a weekly broadcast available on several platforms under Terry Mize Ministries. People often tell us as we travel that they watch our broadcast, that it is a blessing to them, and that they are being encouraged and built up in faith by the miracle testimonies. If you haven’t subscribed yet, please do so as a personal favor to Renee and I. It’s free and helps us with YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/user/terrymizeministries
Lately, I have focused a lot on the blood covenant and the covenant of blood. Many Christians do not fully understand this great subject. There are many examples of covenant in Scripture, as well as among nations and tribes around the world. Primitive tribes, the mafia in Italy and the U.S., and others live and die by blood covenants. Of course, God originated this spiritual contract, which we see in both the New and Old Testaments. Even witchcraft operates by covenants.
Here are some facts about covenant that many Christians don’t realize:
1.God’s covenants are blood covenants.
2.God’s covenants are multigenerational. They pass down to your children
and grandchildren.
3.God’s covenants are timeless—without expiration dates, lasting forever.
4.God’s covenants transcend the Testaments. They don’t end with Malachi or start
with Matthew.
We see this clearly in the blood covenant God made with Abraham in Genesis 17:7, “And I will establish My covenant between Me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.”
God made it plain that this covenant wasn’t just for Abraham but also for his descendants, to honor it in their generation (our generation now) as an everlasting covenant—timeless and without expiration.
Paul underscores this in Galatians 3:13-14 and 29, “Christ hath redeemed (past tense) us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
“And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
This leaves no doubt that the covenant with Abraham is still in effect. Both Jews and Gentiles are heirs to it!
We are still very involved in North Carolina hurricane relief, a desperate situation. We are sending substantial offerings there, providing homes (loosely defined), generators, stoves, electric lights, gasoline for generators, and propane for cooking for the entire winter—all for $800. Please help as the Lord leads. https://terrymize.com/give
Additionally, we are in the middle of our Christmas Orphan Project. Please join us in bringing joy, hope, and provision to little ones, widows, and the poor worldwide this Christmas season.
