The Great Commission

Wow! Renee and I have just finally returned home after 5 weeks of traveling the nation to minister God’s great message. In the month of May we spent two nights in our own bed. In this timeframe we have had two funerals, one of which I officiated and one wedding that Renee officiated. We have ministered in 6 churches in three states doing a total of 15 services. Renee was awarded a Doctorate of Divinity, so now she makes me call her Doctor Renee. I was also awarded an additional one.

We are rapidly approaching our Israeli Pastors’ Conference, where we are going to minister to 70 Jewish pastors. These precious shepherds are born again and spirit filled. For almost 2 years, they have been eagerly awaiting  me to come and teach them the “Word of Faith.”    I think this is going to be a significant and historic meeting and I also think it will be the first of several such meetings.  Israel is a very small country with a population of between 6 and 7 million people. So, I am excited to see what our conference will accomplish in sowing the Word of Faith to these ministers. I think it will be explosive to the spiritual atmosphere in this Land of the Bible. We are paying for the pastors’ hotel and food, which of course greatly increased our budget. I am happy to report that we have the money and the budget is covered, thanks to our great God and our great partners!

Another current project we are involved with is in the South Pacific with dear friends James and Pattie Akui. They are the directors of Rhema in the area with schools and evangelism in Samoa, Vanuatu, Fiji, and Pago Pago. We have been with and ministered for them twice and are scheduled to spend the month of November ministering there again, plus the nation of New Zealand. Recently there was a terrible earthquake in Vanuatu and the school was destroyed, then condemned. Serious money needed there. They are rebuilding the director’s home in Fiji. The director is pregnant and has no electricity including air conditioning and no indoor plumbing- just an outhouse. If this was my or your daughter, pregnant in a 3rd world country we would think she needs/deserves a real bathroom in the house. The total price for this project is $30,000.00. If you are led by the Spirit and can help, please note on your memo or let my office know so we can properly account for it and get it where it goes. I received a note from Pattie that in the last 7 days, 761 precious people have given their lives to Jesus. This wonderful ministry has a 100-foot ship, on which they go island to island, among thousands of islands (so many unreached with the gospel, and some still cannibals) evangelizing and bringing the wonderful, Good News.  Look them up on Facebook, Pattie Akui, or reach them at www.UttermostMinistries.org.

Since my salvation at 6 years old, men and women of God have been my heroes, especially missionaries and miracle ministries. As a little boy, I held missionaries in awe and suspense to hear the wonderful, dangerous and miraculous testimonies. The church as a whole has always been drawn to and blessed by these intrepid and brave, dedicated men and women who went to the uttermost and the gutter most parts of this globe to take living bread to dying men! They risked their lives as well as leaving their homes and families to rescue perishing souls for Christ. So very many of them have paid the ultimate price in blood to fulfill The Great Commission.

I am troubled today at the church in general that doesn’t seem to know or honor any of these things I’ve just mentioned, and by not doing so they prove they either don’t have knowledge of the Word, the will of God and Jesus’ command for us, or they know and don’t care, which is scary!

I grew up as I said watching, following and revering, these worthies. Many became my friends over the years as you know.

Let me share a few quotes I grew up on and had my life affected and creased by:
•No man has the right to hear the gospel twice until every man has heard it once… how many times have we heard it?
•Missions, the only cause that counts…
•Give according to your income, lest God make your income according to your giving!
•The light that shines the farthest away, is the brightest at home.
•The mission of the church is missions.
•Any church that is not seriously involved in fulfilling The Great Commission has forfeited its biblical right to exist!

We will be ministering to Gypsy Pastors in Romania in September. Pastors conference in Malta for pastors in Africa and Europe. The month of November ministering in 5 nations in the South Pacific. Mexico of course, and the upcoming pastors conference in Israel in July.

We covet your prayers. Remember to watch our broadcast on YouTube each Thursday.
My new book, “Pulling Down Strongholds”  out very soon.
