He Is Risen!
“Forever, O Lord, Thy Word is settled in Heaven.” What a marvelous TRUTH. His Word is settled in the Heavenlies, but we must settle it here on Earth- and especially in our own personal earth.
“If you don’t have an old man, buy one.” Israeli proverb
“As long as Satan can keep you in the arena of reason, he’ll whip you in every battle. But, if you’ll hold him in the arena of faith and the spirit, you’ll whip him every time. He won’t argue with you about the name of Jesus… he’s afraid of that name.” Kenneth E. Hagin, from his book, The Believer’s Authority.
The Word tells us: don’t be caught in the fields of the fatherless. Today, the nations and the Church find themselves fatherless. The Word tells us not to remove the ancient landmarks that our fathers have set. I want to deal with this in this letter, but you can get my series on “Don’t Move the Posts” for more in-depth, life changing teaching!
“I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you. For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus, I have begotten you through the Gospel,” 1 Corinthians 4:14-15.
“If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord,” 1 Corinthians 9:2.
In these two passages from Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, he is emphasizing the absolute fact and importance of having godly, veteran, statesmen in your life in a big way. This has always, in my almost six decades of missionary miracle ministry, been paramount to me. The Church at large has not seemed to place an importance on having spiritual fathers, fathers in the faith, mothers in the faith. In fact, it seems to me to be even less significant as time goes on. Another big word with God, and all through the Bible is, HONOR (or HONOUR, for my many friends and partners in British influenced nations). Honor is absolutely everything and is directly connected to spiritual authority and faith. God Himself lives according to His decree of honor. His Word is His bond. If your word is no good, you are not good. When we sing and say, “God is so good,” we are affirming He is honorable, His Word is good, you can trust Him. You can act on what He has said in His Holy Book. You can run your life by it, live it as your lifestyle. You can raise your children on it, base your marriage on it.
As most of you know, I have had a number of spiritual fathers and mothers in my life and ministry. They were my personal ministry gifts. Some were apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and all were teachers and preachers. They creased my life. Just like you would take a piece of cloth or article of clothing and take a hot iron and crease them. When I was in the US Army, my uniforms were so creased that they could stand by themselves. That is what a minister that is worth his salt will do to us— crease our lives and those creases will never come out. All my fathers creased my life permanently, and even though some have been in Heaven for years and even decades, I’m still creased. I live like they are still here and watching me. I would never want to disappoint them or make them ashamed of me. Of course, we magnify that even more with our Heavenly Father and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. They have and still are creasing us and I never want to do anything to bring shame on them.
I just buried my spiritual father that I had for 57 years. Wayne Myers was 102 years old and had creased my life since I was 18. Renee and I talk about those worthies all the time, their words, lives, examples and ministries. Two of them we talk about or quote every day: John Osteen and Kenneth E. Hagin. Wow, how many times we have told people, “You cannot go wrong listening to Brother Hagin and Brother Osteen.” We love all ministers, we love the young ones just starting out, but there is nothing like hearing from an old father, a veteran statesman, one who has lived it and demonstrated it, been there done that.
Update on missions trips this year: We still have our Israel Pastors’ Conference coming up, hopefully in June but dates are not hard set yet, as the pastors are still in the IDF, and the nation is still in a state of war. They are also being told that war with Iran could be very close. I believe this conference, with 70+ born-again, spirit-filled pastors pleading with me to come teach them the Word of Faith, will be a significant change-maker! Our Romania Gypsy Pastors’ Conference is scheduled for September. What tremendous fruit we have seen from these conferences, these ministers learning the word of faith and spiritual authority, even to them having built over 400 churches since we have been training them!
The month of November will find us in 5 nations in the South Pacific: Fiji, Vanuatu, Samoa, Pago Pago, and New Zealand. Of course, Mexico is always calling and the conference in Malta with pastors from several nations in Europe and several nations in Africa will be so very productive. We are still very involved with our foundation, JMICF, helping widows, orphans, the needy, and humanitarian aid.
All of this takes major amounts of prayer, health and money. Thank you for continuing to help us and thank God for the strength and anointing to fulfill this calling. Be sure to watch a new program each Thursday on our YouTube channel, with hundreds in the archives.
